Gabriella Coleman
Trained as an anthropologist, Gabriella (Biella) Coleman researches and teaches on digital activism and the culture and politics of hacking. Her first book, Coding Freedom: The Aesthetics and the Ethics of Hacking is forthcoming with Princeton University Press and she is currently working on a new book on Anonymous and digital activism.
She is an assistant professor at New York University and will be joining McGill University in January 2012 as the Wolfe Chair in Scientific and Technological Literacy.
