Jason Scott
Jason Scott is a a filmmaker, historian, archivist and shaking fist of rage and disbelief. Besides capturing a generation’s process of going online at his site TEXTFILES.COM, he has allied himself with a rogue band of activist preservationists called Archive Team, the “Breaking Bad” of librarians. His documentaries (on Bulletin Board Systems and later Text Adventures) have been seen and sold worldwide, and he is currently in production on three more, including one of the 6502 chip and the programmers of same. Unfortunately, all of this good work is unknown to the world at large because he has the most popular animal on twitter, @Sockington, with 1.4 million followers. His current position is “Free Range Archivist” at the Internet Archive, and in his spare time he JUST KIDDING NO SPARE TIME.
