Anne Helen Petersen is Doctor of Celebrity Gossip, which means that she spends her time thinking big thoughts about the intricacies of stardom, the gossip industry, the “celebrification” of contemporary media, and what we talk about when we talk about Brangelina.
Anne writes about stardom, celebrity, and a host of other media-related issues for various online publications and ponders “Celebrity Gossip, Academic Style” on her own blog.
She currently teaches media studies at Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington; her first book, Scandals of Classic Hollywood, is forthcoming from Penguin/Plume Press in 2014.
